SaaS, in production
StreamSync
A SaaS that gives Twitch VODs their music back: the viewer's Spotify replays the streamer's playlist, synced to the second.
- Solo: product, design, engineering
- Since 2026
- Personal project, commercial
The problem
Twitch mutes music in VODs for copyright reasons. People watching later lose the vibe of the live stream, and streamers have no clean way to give it back.
Replay it on the viewer's side
Putting the music back server-side or in the video is exactly what DMCA forbids. StreamSync replays it on the viewer's side, on their own Spotify account.
During the stream, the server records what the streamer listens to. When the VOD is watched, the extension fetches that timeline and drives the viewer's Spotify in real time: play, pause and seek, locked to the video.
The whole ecosystem, solo
A Next.js web app and a Node/Express backend, a Chrome MV3 + Firefox extension, a Discord bot that tells servers when a streamer goes live, Spotify, Twitch and Discord OAuth, and a freemium model through Stripe.
In short
- Auto sync: play, pause, seek
- Spotify device picker
- Discord bot via Twitch EventSub
- Stripe freemium
